Today I went to the sim of the Avaricious GE gorean group and took my pictures there. I almost went mad because once I was done, I suddenly realize my brad had not rezzed and had to redo it all. UGH. And when I did that, Ghosts came in to raid and the sim got extremely laggy, nothing rezzed anymore + a ton of running grey blobs shooting wildly. Not pretty/picture ready. So I waited and came back later again and now it worked. 🙂 Phew, I thought I’d have to wait foreeeever.
Truh finally (!!!) released his Fameshed hair. I honestly had not even counted on it anymore, but was wondering why there were five releases and only four at his store. Well, newb me had to look up his Flickr to find out, cough cough. 😉 It is one of the few instant buys there for me, because it was cheaper than at his mainstore. This hair is just as awesome as the other two I already blogged, a soft braid and well, I truly am in love with his new colours/textures. It looks really soft and I especially love, just like with the Genesis hair, the braid across the forehead. I do wish though that Truth would release hair that fits to larger boobies as well.
Larion Rhode of LR Weapons sent me this bow. It is a new meshrelease and I have noticed that lately, Larion and Allia seem to go for artsy looking creations: Strong curves and generally an artful looking design, less plain that any realistic bow would really demand. I think bows such as this one (and the previous release, Black Swan, that I blogged on various pictures, really are awesome for chicks and fantasy role-players in particular. I love bows that look pretty and still ‘make sense’ in some way. The only things I would hope for for the future are these two:
I hope the textures at some point will be brighter. There is a lot of detail to these bows that basically get lost unless you look really close, which imho, is part due to the very dark textures. I would LOVE to see some brighter one with details such as carvings in the woods, maybe symbols.
Also, but that is something that ALL weapon creators seem to miss, I would probably kiss any creators feet that would make a bow which’s quiver has more than 5 arrows in it and has a belt that keeps both, bow and quiver, somehow realistically attached to my back. I always try to wear soem sort of slingbelt to make it look more realistic, I think it could be done, no? The floating bow is a bit odd, imho.
I will not get into the techy details here, that is PewPew’s forte, not mine. 😛
Then there is another new release by The Forge. Deccan apparently is working day and night now, unless he is busy having …nevermind. Ahem. These bracers are insanely detailed imho, easy to resize and fit your arm and…they go with the armorpart of the Daerwen Outfit! So you can mix and match to your liking and create new looks with these. I am only displaying the oen for the lower arms, but there are also those for the upper arms plus your lower legs included. 🙂
