You may not forget – News from COCO Designs, GIZZA, GSPOT and more! :)

Heya peeps,

you know that feeling when just NOTHING seems to work out? Today is one of those days it seems. Grumble. I wanted to post yesterday already but fell asleep at my desk. moving sucks big time, I tell you. Tomorrow we are going to go to IKEA for the third time in a row, probably another six hours of furniture shopping. Ugh. Sorry for ranting, but these past days were stressfull, I think I feel every tiny little muscle aching. Also, bad blogging day. I took a gazillion of pictures today and couldn’t get myself to love any of them. Not sure why. 😦

So, now lets have a look at what I put together, which is more than likely the more interesting part for you guys. πŸ˜›

The wreath!

Well, I am feeling a little stupid repeating that Jalilah Jewell of GSpot constantly improved her meshwork and still does so. This headpiece is a preview for the upcoming round of WE LOVE RP, starting on November 4th. While Jalilah is a friend of mine, I am honest with her when she aks me for my opinion and honest with my reviews. Also, I wouldn’t blog her stuff if it wasn’t really good, friend or not. Despite it all, it still makes me feel weird at times, because I always fear I might be too biased, so I am always looking extra closely at her items. The same goes for any person I like or call a friend. I don’t want to give anyone a greencard here so instead of being super lenient, i TRY to be extra nitpicky.

This headpiece imho is another proof of Jalilah’s attention to details which is, imho, so super important if you create accessories. Did you notice those little white dots at the bottom of each leaf? I love them. It comes in various colours (cream, autumn, silver, violet) and has matching bracers (not shown). I really do enjoy the texture on the little leaves, all the colour variations do look really pretty. My personal favs are the one displayed (autumn) and the violet ones because I personally do enjoy stronger colours for autumn. πŸ™‚ I noticed the wreath was a little hard to resize. Not because resizing is hard, but because it has a very round shape and rarely a head is that round,s o when you make it look too oval, the leaves get distorted a little bit. Also, it is not symmetric, which makes the task a little confusing, too, but at the same time adds big time to realism. πŸ™‚ However, this one is one of my current favourite headpieces out there and that speaks volumes, given there are a MYRIAD of these. Another bonus in my book is that Jalilah’s gold tones are to my liking. Many times, the golden textures of designers have a too yellowish or greenish tone rather than a warm gold which I prefer.

The (grey!) vest!

Giz Seorn, designer for Gizza, released this vest the other day and I literally camped his store after he told me he was about to release it….then fell asleep. I love the knit texture, it looks truly thick and wooly, just perfect for autumn and winter. The vest is really nice for layering meshpieces as well, though I DO wish sometimes designers in general would be more considerate when it comes to the shape of the bottoms of their tops. It would be so cool if the tops where just a little more flares so pants and skirts would fit more easily underneath. But I guess with ruffles that is even harder and these are really cute, too!Β  The vest comes in several autumn colours and realyl is a great addition to your basics. πŸ™‚

The boots!

First of all, I really like these boots by Cocoro Lemon for Coco Designs a lot! The texture looks like a soft suede and the colours offered are all very pretty, most of them natural looking. The price of (I think) 350 Lindens seems okay given that the boots come with and without an attached jeans. Very considerate of the designer imho! I alos do like the natural look of the wrinkled on the shaft and the mere hint of a heel there (a wedge to be exact). Also, no zippers, which is a big plus in my book. However, if you look at the picture below, I am sure you can spot what may be bothering me about these? Riiiiight. The inside of the boots is unlined which makes the invisible. You can see it clearly in my picture. I think that’s really a bit sad because unless you cam into a certain perspective, you’ll almost always see that. Plus: IF you offer a version without the jeans (the version with the jeans does not need the lining on the inside), the effort should be put into this item to make it equally valuable without the pants sticking in the boot. I still like them, I admit it. I may just trry to find a solution for this, but I really wish designers would line the inner sides of items as well, at least to a certain extend, so that while you move around in normal positions, no invisibility is to be seen. πŸ™‚Blog278PS_3
